Restrict item sales to a single customer

What would be the best way to restrict sales of items to only a few customers? I'm hoping there is a better option than having to set up restrictions on all of the other customer accounts.

The customer that is purchasing these can also buy other items, but we just want to ensure that no other customers can purchase these particular items.
