Doc ID 657236.1 says that if you are replicating data for HA/DR purposes, you should exclude the /PD920/specfile and /E920SYS/logs IFS folders. I'm assuming that you would also not want to include these in any backup that is done when E1 services are up.

We are a 24/7 business, so we do not bring services down when we perform our nightly backup. Instead, we save the /PD920 and /E920SYS IFS folders and the PD920 and E920SYS libraries to save files when services are down once a week.

I would like to know what other 24/7 businesses are doing to back up E1.
