migrating schema from oracle 8i (AIX os) to oracle 12c (Linux VM)

Hi all,

I have been ask to migrate the number of schemas from oracle 8i (AIX os) to oracle 12c (Linux VM). Can I use exp schema from oracle 8i (AIX) and import directly to Oracle 12c (Linux) env.

Or I need to do indirectly, I mean do I first import to Oracle 10g then from exp from Oracle 10g to Oracle 12c.

I would appreciate if someone please advise me step by step proc to migrate schema from Oracle 8i to Oracle 12c.
