834 EDI Files

We have been notified by one our vendors that on the EDI files, a value needs to be included for COBRA participants. See below:

When an employee and/or dependent is sent with a value of ‘C’ (Cobra) in the INS-05 element, the new software expects to see a value in the INS-07 element as well. Per the ANSI guide the INS-07 is required when an employee and/or dependent is enrolled in Cobra, and the INS-05 equals ‘C’.
