rpool expand doubt in solaris 10.

Hi,

We are using Solaris 10, T5240 server. Already c1t2d0s0 LUN assigned to rpool which is 26GB, its Its reached above 95%. We have assigned additional 100GB LUN (c1t3d0)from storage to ldom. Should we label the new 100GB LUN using format comand? or will it label the server automatically while attach(mirror) ? Can anyone suggest please?
