Migrate EPBCS application between different domain

We have to migrate EPBCS application from One domain to another domain. Does clone environment work when the destination environment is in different domain ?

I dont have the domain created yet, so cannot test it out, just wanted to get some idea if anyone has tried that before.

Also, any challenges that I can face or anything to look out for when migrating application to different domain?
