Data Guard patching order

in High Availability Data Guard, Sharding and Global Data Services (MOSC) 3 commentsAnswered

We have a primary 19c database and a physical standby read-only database.

Every quarter we patch the databases with the latest PSU.

We have been patching the standby database first and then the primary.

Would it be a problem if we patch the primary first and then the standby?

In this changes changes from the datapatch (executed in the primary) would be in the standby before the binary is patched to the equivalent.
