How to check flash disk when viewed with "-e list physicaldisk"

edited Sep 14, 2022 6:16AM in Exadata General (MOSC) 3 commentsAnswered ✓

When I typed "-e list physicaldisk"

Flash_10_1 Flash_10_2

Flash_4_1 Flash_4_2

Flash_5_1 Flash_5_2

Flash_6_1 Flash_6_2 output like this.

Is this 4 or 8 flash disks?

And I know that exadata names are appended with -2 or -8 depending on the socket.

Looking at the x7-2 data sheet, the CPU of the db server is 2x24core and the CPU of the storage is 2x10.

The data sheet of x7-8 shows that the CPU of the db server is 8x24core and the CPU of the storage is 2x10.

If 2x and 8x of cpu are sockets, what does 2x of storage mean?
