Approach to capture the position of Tire in an Asset and update the position during maintenance

Client wants an easy approach to track the position of the Tire in an asset.

we are considering modelling Tyres as rebuildable inventory and enable the attributes to capture the position of each tyre in the respective position of the asset.

Client wants to update the tyres position at the time of work order execution. Is there a way we can update the attributes at the time of work execution.
