Add To Fully Depreciated Assets

Dear All,

We are using EBS 12.2.11.

We need to Add to fully depreciated asset an asset.

Example: Add to fully depreciated car a new engine. What are recommendations in this case, since we need to depreciate new engine for at least more than one month, but engine will be fully depreciated at once.

Is there other option than adding the new engine as new asset. Although we prefer to add the new engine to the car for ease of engine traceability.
