After a reboot of the linux box, i'm getting ORA-28365 wallet is not open

using ora EE 12.2.0.1 on linux rh 7 - standard install, not pluggable

i have a ticket in with support but i've heard nothing back for over 24 hours... so hoping someone here might have some ideas.

We took the linux box down last week for downtime ... when we brought it back up the db would not start due to ora-28365...

i've tried

startup mount

show parameter wallet -- nothing shows up

alter database open

error...28365

alter system set wallet open identified by..... i think i have the correct pass, but wont swear to it

ora-28353 failed to open wallet

the only location of a wallet is under xdb_wallet directory... this may have been created awhile back while doing an install of BI. We do not currently have BI up and running.. i have no need for encryption at this point... just need to get the db up and accessible.
