Running datapatch in ODAs

in Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) (MOSC) 3 commentsAnswered ✓

We have 2 ODAs X7-2 HA BM.

The first runs the primary database and the second the standby database.

We recently patched both ODAs to 19.13 following the steps below.

. shut down standby, patch it and start it up again

. perform a switch over

. shut the new standby (which formerly was primary) and patch it

. start the new standby up again

Because we patched both databases (primary and standby) when they were in read-only mode, datapatch has not been executed.

Should we execute the post-steps (datapatch) manually from the primary like we do on a regular database (non ODA) or there is a different command for ODAs to be executed?
