Modern Job Data / Manage Job - Include History

We have recently implemented the new fluid/modern job data (manage job). The feedback from end users has been mixed. Most like the configurable search. The main item that is frustrating to them is - one inside an employees job record, there is no easy way to 'Include History'. They need to navigate out and check the flag and search again.


Question - is there a 'configurable' way to default the Include History flag? Or is this only possible via a customization.

Has anyone encountered this and do I need to submit an 'idea lab' post?
