Double Byte to Single Byte

in CNC, DB and Operating System - JDE1 (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

Hi All,

We are on JDE 9.2 version. Our some of our address book fields stores supplier name as a mix of Chinese as well as English characters. Now problem is Chinese character is stored as double byte whereas english character is stored as single byte, so if I want to send this data as a XML file, UPS Shipment Program can not recognise 2 byte characters.

Is there any convert function for this specific characters or else solutions? 2 byte to 1 byte.
