Drop Ship Tracking Info

Hello hive mind,

We are a manufacturing company running EBS 12.2.8 and need some help with drop ship orders. We recently had a lot of products transferred to a supplier to provide and drop ship to our customers. We now have customers asking us for tracking information, which we don't receive from the supplier. While the POs are our POs, the supplier is not currently using an ASN or EDI to update on the status of the PO. This specific supplier is pretty hands-off, currently.

What we would like to know is how other EBS 12.2 customers are utilizing drop ship POs and how tracking information is obtained/communicated to the customer. I am guessing that once the PO ships from the supplier, an ASN can be provided and stored in an interface table somewhere? Can this info be picked up anywhere on the sales order to provide an update to the customer automatically?
