Email/Alert reminders for License/Certificates requiring renewal

Hi team. Is there any delivered functionality to send out reminder emails to employees to notifiy them that they have licenses/certificates that need to be renewed? I'm aware of a report that can be run to identify these but hoping that there is some form of notification framework that can be used intead of just a report.

For more context, we would like to use the PERSON profile setup and incorporate licenses and certificates and where there are content items that require renewal, alert the relevant employee that this item needs to be renewed.
