Low risk, low down time Database upgrade options from 11.2.0.3 to 19c

I would like to upgrade a single instance database from 11.2.0.3.0 to 19c with very minimal down time possible and low risk. 

I have physical standby in place, oracle ASM is used for storage.

From my investigations I found two possibilities.

1. Using Rolling upgrade, starting with dataguard

2. Using Oracle Golden gate

I am more likely to use the first option as I am not yet familiar with Goldengate. Kindly advise, your recommendations, pros and cons of each.
