GNU/GCC/GDB support for OEL8.5

This is a query regarding GNU/GCC/GDB support for OEL 8.5


We were using Oracle Solaris Studio CC compiler(12.5 version) for compiling or C++ code. We are using OEL 8.5

Recently, we faced an issue with Oracle Solaris compiler 12.5 and Oracle support team confirmed that Solaris Studio 12.5 CC compiler is not compatible with OEL 8.5. We are planning to use GNU/GCC compiler to recompile our C++ Code

We make use of below tools/software's

1. Tuxedo 12.2.2(32 bit - Ours is a 32 bit application)

2. Power Builder 21 Pro (32 Bit)

3. SAP SQL Anywhere 17 (Client DB - 21 bit)

4. Oracle DB 19C

5. OCI libraries
