Why is payroll allowed to run for people with blank NI category - no messages

Hi all,

I have a user with no NI category since 2 years, Payroll is being run for this person with no error/warning message. Are there no mandatory checks for this in the Payroll system

RTI GB Update NI category process also did not pick it up

Also RTI FPS did not print NI category for staff with no NI contribution for any reason. Can that be configured

Any thoughts?
