Using checkpoint files via a symlink
I am using GG v19.1 Classic Architecture running on a RHEL server.
We are working on configuring an active/passive HA solution for our implementation and there was a suggestion to create a symlink for the checkpoint folder (dirchk) (and possibly others) onto a shared storage mount point so the 2 servers could reference the same set of files during failover/failback.
Does anyone have any experience with or reasons to not pursue this approach?
