Siebel Data Retention

Hello Experts,

We are using Siebel for 8 years and during these years the data get increased day by day which causes a lot of performance & storage issues, so we are thinking of a way to delete some old and not needed data like old orders and old assets. So we would appreciate your suggestions on the recommended way to apply this on Siebel and if there are any documents that can help to achieve this target.
