Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. Dedup or No Dedup for Oracle Database LUNs

We have 1 TB size databases using Oracle ASM. The underlying storage is currently using deduplication (HPE 3PAR StoreServ).

We notice performance issues with overall databases and wondering what is the best practice for database luns? Should it be deduped or not?
