Our Workflow Notification Mailer wont start anymore

Hello,

We are currently "OTAP-ing" a set of recommended patches. After applying the set of patches the "Workflow Notification Mailer" wont start up anymore.

I've also created an SR, but because this will become a showstopper for us in short order, I'd use all the channels available to me to get this sorted.

So here goes. After applying the patches, the Mailer keeps getting stuck in the "Starting" phase. It does not get beyond that phase.

Investigation has resulted in an error message something like :

"OUTBOUND_SERVER=Unable to connect to the mail account. Check the host, user name, password and connection security."
