Help with SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES

System: Oracle Database 19.16 Enterprise installed on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server VERSION="7.9 (Maipo)"

Please forgive if this is wrong forum, my question is on a specific sqlnet.ora parameter, so I was guessing network, but this could easily be security, or even just plain old database.

We just finished setting up Centrally Managed Users successfully (mostly), but we have an issue with local console logins. On the server for parameter SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES, I need to have either ALL or at least KERBEROS5PRE to get CMU to work for remote clients. The issue I'm having is when we try to login on the local console with an Oracle account (non-CMU), I get an error "ORA-12638: Credential retrieval failed"
