PeopleSoft Expenses - Cash Advance

With our upgrade extra functionality has come into the Cash advance page. Before the cash advance would default accounting from user profile. Now you can enter your own accounting details, and add extra lines on your cash advance. but does not allow you to use different accounting details. What is the purpose of these extra line options besides splitting the amounts and descriptions?
