Is it better to split PO Blanket Agreements with more than 1000 lines into smaller PO Agreements?

We have a handful of PO Blanket Agreements which now have more than 1000. When you search on one of these Agreements you are limited by the Profile FND: View Object Max Fetch Size, to the number of lines returned by the search. There are obviously various ways of getting around this.

However, I am interested to know whether people would recommend splitting Blanket Agreements into small number of lines or just raise the max Fetch size. Are there any downsides to increasing the Max Fetch Size?
