Amending a posted job opening

We use PeopleSoft Talent Acquisition Manager and Candidate Gateway for posting job openings and soliciting internal and external applications.
Often, our recruitment team is required to modify a job opening after it has been posted. This can be for a number of things, but often is to extend a closing date, change the job type and number of openings (ie. from 1 permanent to 1 permanent and 1 temporary), etc. Our recruitment team currently has a very manual business process to send these amended job openings to our various unions.
Recruitment has a requirement for a report that ideally includes the dates of any amendments to a job opening as well as what changed with the amendment. We are investigating ways to achieve this tracking of job opening amendments but are wondering if anyone else in the community has done something similar and can share their approach.
