We have an ODA X7 HA BM 19.13.

Read-only standby databases (Data Guard) are running in this ODA.

Most of the time, we don't have time to patch the whole ODA before we patch the primary databases that are running in Exadata.

So, we have been patching the Oracle database Home via Out of Cycle Patching (opatch) to keep in sync with the primary database that runs on exadata. The current Oracle Home version is 19.16 (primary exadata and ODA).

The Oracle Home is in the local /u01. I understand odacli update-dbhome (19.10 and higher) creates and moves the Oracle Home to ACFS.
