Is it normal for Peoplesoft Absence management/global payroll to create a lot of data?

Our DBA has concerns that the Oracle/Peoplesoft Absence management application is using excessive amounts of space, and is doing so in an uncontrolled manner. The team here has put together the following questions, and would like to get feedback from the community regarding this. We are on HCM/Absence management 9.2.

For 150k employees, how data growth looks like in 2 tables: PS_GP_RSLT_PIN and PS_NYC_GP_RSLT_HST, and how quickly we should expect it? Does it grow at an extraordinary rate? If so, we need a way to keep data from growing in such uncontrolled manner.
