Question regarding Oracle SmartView business editions version 11.1.2.4

If a customer is selling a business unit that works with Oracle SmartView business editions version 11.1.2.4 that has users in it. As part of the sale, they will still have access to their systems for 6 months even though they are not employees of the company. Are they still allowed to access the SmartView platform?
