Oracle OPM Recipe Validity Rule use for Costing

Hello,


I'm setting up and testing Oracle EBS OPM in R12.2.7

I have a question about OPM Recipe Validity Rule for use in Costing. I understand that this use of Validity Rule is for establishing costs, but where I can query an Item Cost based in such validity rule if in GMF Item Cost is based on use of ingredients, resources, overhead, etc. used in a production batch? Is it required to entered both Production, and Costing Validities Rules?
