Bidder id v Registration ID

In eSuppler - When a bidder self registers and is submitted into workflow for approver, The system assigns a registration number. Once approved, the system assigns a Bidder number.

(1) What is the difference between the Bidder ID & the registration ID? Why two different numbers?

(2) Which tables can I use to write a query to X-ref these two Numbers?
