Data Exchange - Import metadata into dimension and attribute value (Standard Cloud, 22.12.54)

Hi

I'm building an integration from a csv file that is constructing a project dimension. During the import, I'm also linking projects to attribute dimensions "Project Status" and "Project Stage".

My source data also has values linked to those two attribute dimensions for my parent projects. As i process my application, I'm getting off course a "Attribute assignments cannot be assigned to multiple levels. " message. I want to only link at level-0 of projects.

What is the best practice to avoid that any parent projects (*00) are writing a value into my attribute value?
