CAFE1 ON P42101 /P4105

we want to create a cafe1 linking p4105-W4105A from p42101 /p4210 Detail Form W4210D but unable to create because ITM Short item column is not available on grid on that form , moreover any column on that grid is not available to map ( the plus sign does not come up when dynamic link mapping is attempted. ). Is there any workaround or what needs to be done in this case ? please advise.
