Data View into Data Cube, Shell vs. Company (Primavera 21.12.10.IDCS)

I am coming across issues with creating Data Views that are only available to be used by a Data Cube as a Company Type. They will not show up in the list when Shell is selected.

I'm looking for an exact definition of what prevents a Data View from being used in a Shell Data Cube. It does not seem to be related to the tables referenced, whether it is an SQL Query or manually built. I have had to manipulate the SQL in various ways, but have been able to produce a Shell Cube with tables that normally do not allow it.
