Is there a way to Remove assignee from a Task ?

We have a scenario where Assignee has accidentally add other assigness via Add Assignee option before accepting task, now record has gone to all the Assignees. now user wants to remove all the additional assignees from the task. is there a possibility to achieve that.?..TIA :)
