CAM Setup

I am looking for documentation on how CAM is setup and interactives with fixed assets in JDE. We are looking into setting fixed assets up in our JDE E1 system, but I see there is setup for CAM in FA and we have a lot of unposted FA entries. I'm trying to find out if something was setup wrong or if this normal to see unposted FA entries when using CAM.
