Can I Delete Branch Plant Constants and If So What Are the Dangers?

I am on version 9.1.

We are going through a huge system cleanup and have uncovered that we have set up quite a few branches that were never made active and likely never will. I have verified the branch does not have Item Branch records or Bill of Material records. There have been no Item Ledger or Accounting Ledger transaction.

I'd like to ensure none get added in the future until we make this an active branch.

Is it possible to delete Branch/Plant Constants and if so, are there any dangers associated with this I should be aware of?
