concurrent log/out in non-shared APPL_TOP setup

EBS 12.2.10, if we set up multi application nodes (without shared APPL_TOP); is there any need still concurrent log/out to be shared across all nodes ? or this is not required as FNDFS will be able to get the log/outfile from any nodes ?

Even for setting up PCP (in non shared APPL_TOP mode ) do we need not have concurrent log/out shared across multiple nodes ?
