can we have time punches spanning across days on a single day

in Payroll and OTL - EBS (MOSC) Question

employee is scheduled to start work from 10 pm to 7 am on next day. we want to have punches from 12 am to 7 am, on the same day as first punch.

1st jan - 10 pm - 11:30 pm, 12:30 am - 7 am

presently this details are split on 1st Jan and 2nd Jan. we are using published schedules as schedules are required to change frequently . 10 pm on 1st jan to 10 pm on 2nd day needs to be considered as one day. Daily overtime is impacted if time segments are split across 2 days.
