BOM components with different accounting rules

Hoping someone can answer this. We're currently on EBS12.1.3 which does not allow a BOM to have components with different accounting rules. For example, if we sell a software license that is amortized over a 1 year term we would only recognize that revenue one month at a time, but if we sell that with a physical item we would recognized that revenue for the physical item upon fulfillment. We would like to be able to create a BOM with these two components that would be a single fulfillable item (be it a kit or a finished good whatever would
