Does Payables have to be purged before General Ledger?

We are using Oracle EBS 12.1.3 and are looking into Archiving and Purging all our Financial Modules, AP, AR, CM, FA, GL, and PUR to be specific. We do not use the Projects module. We run all of our projects through the General Ledger, using our chart of accounts to track each project. I have reviewed the Archive and Purge documentation for each module, but I am unable to find if there is a specific or preferred order in which the modules should be purged. Should all subledger modules be purged before purging the General Ledger module?

If there is no specific order, and GL is purged first, what happens if someone queries an invoice in Payables that was expensed to an account combination that no longer exists because it was purged during the GL purge?
