Chef scripting for EBS?

Hi All -

We are using EBS 12.2.9, running on RH Linux v7 which has two app tier nodes. Our "devOps" team is asking us about automating the stop|start processes. They would be using Chef scripting/recipes for the automation.

Does anyone have any experience with this? We'd like to know any thoughts or know-how on how to accomplish this, if it is possible?

We have done similar tasks with other applications (which are not EBS 😃) that are working fine with the Chef scripting.
