Install, Upgrade, Clone, Patch - EBS (MOSC)

EBS OS Upgrade

Hello everyone,

We have two nodes:


* DB node: RHEL 7.9 and Oracle Database 12.1.0.2

* APP node: RHEL 7.9 and EBS 12.2.6


We're planning to upgrade OS from RHEL 7 to RHEL 8 for both, then upgrade DB from 12c to 19c and update APP from 12.2.6 to 12.2.12. I've read that the binaries are compatible so we intend to upgrade OS via Leapp.


Is it a viable way? Should we do additional steps?


I hope you can help me with this.
