Can a subinventory of type Receiving be setup Allow Reservation as No

Can a subinventory of type Receiving be setup as Allow Reservation as No.

Whenever the type is selected as Receiving, the status becomes Active and the field is greyed out and not allowed to be updated. So that way, is it a standard behavior to not allow the Receiving subinventory to change its status and make it un-reservable?
