Why my vitual machine are so slow

I have a Solaris 10 machine that is hosting 8 virtual machines. I am not a virtual type of guy so asking the questions. The host seems to work just fine. I can access it and everything looks well: however, the virtuals are not happy. Can you give me an idea of what I should be looking at or testing to find out what the issue is with the virtuals being slow.

The host is runnins solaris 10 as are the virtuals.
