Supplemental taxes not calculated for new employee when interim created on same day Final Update run

We are finding that if we enter an interim entry for a new employee for a supplemental pay type (e.g., bonus paycheck) on the same day we run Final Update which they were a part of, the system does not calculate any supplemental taxes. This only happens if the interim is entered on the same day Final Update is run. If we wait until the next day to enter the interim the supplemental taxes do calculate. If we enter an interim for an employee that has been in the system for several years the taxes calculate. It seems to happen
