How does the spread of forecast budget happen in Oracle Project Management?

in Projects - EBS (MOSC) Question

Hi Experts,

When we post actuals in a particular month and generate forecast, then how does the spread happen if we generate forecast in between a month versus if we generate forecast after period closure?

Suppose, we have 1000 USD budget in this month and post 200 USD actuals, Then my understanding is remaining budget of 800 USD will spread to the next months. When does that spread actually happen?
