Why would my session become invalid after turning off scheduled job via AIS API?

Can I call the REST API /jderest/v2/scheduler/stopjob/{endpoint} from within an orchestration? When I call the api from a connector my session becomes invalid after it successfully turns off the scheduled job. Is this expected behaviour or is there something I am missing.

I am running tools 9.2.6.3 on Web Logic and a linux platform.
