Configuration Assistant not starting

in Install, Upgrades & Change Mgmt - JDE1 (MOSC) Question

Hello, I installed configuration assistant to my fat client and have it using JRE 1.8.161 , after running the configuration assistant as admin it bring up the screen connecting to database and then disappears completely. I tried reinstalling it as well as trying a different java version. I even tried having it run on the deployment server where it ran as exepected. Any reason for the source of the issue? I even removed the data in Appdata folder related to it to have a clean reinstall.
